The weather has been so great lately. I've been staring into the sky a lot lately. Wondering if someone else is doing the same and smiling. Enjoying the warm sun as it hits my skin. Nothing beats a day off, warm weather, and a long walk.
I really enjoy being around other people, but sometimes I like to just be by myself. It gives me time to breathe and really appreciate everything around me. One day, when I escape this place and I'm basking in the warmth of Heaven, I hope I have the ability to look down upon Earth. I want to see if someone is looking up at the sky and is sharing the same feeling that I've been feeling lately. Hopefully I can send them a sign that I'm up here smiling back down upon them. I don't care if other people don't believe in God or Heaven. I believe, no question about it. And no, I'm not gonna force my beliefs upon anyone else. Another person should not have a direct impact on someone's beliefs. It's a personal choice. This is just a reflection of how I feel...I'm not trying to convert anyone here.
My faith hasn't always been so strong. I used to go to church as a child, but it just made me so confused. I stopped going from the age of 8 to about 18. I started up again, but the people there scared me. They seemed so closed minded. They had good intentions, but I just felt so jaded from them.
Than I started just reading the Bible on my own and just taking time to pray by myself. I don't need to sit inside a 3 million dollar church to be in contact with God. I think it's a joke that people think that if you don't go to church that you're not a 'good' Christian. God can only judge me. And that goes to "Christians" who blast homosexuals, atheists, and other religions as well. Who are they to judge? They need to stop being so self-righteous. But I'm being a hypocrit, since I am judging them =\
My buddy, G-man, once told me, "I don't trust someone just because I met them at church." This guy is also one of the strongest Christians I know. It's so true though. Going to church, believing in God, etc. Those things don't automatically make you a good person. The majority of my friends don't even believe in God or have different religions, but I still would trust them with my life.
I love talking to people with different view points. I love to know why they believe in what they believe in. What has shaped them...what makes them tick. I always tell people when I talk to them about religion that I'm just putting my views on the table. And that I want to hear thier views as well. Than you look at the table and take what you want and leave the rest.
It's all a personal choice.

Jury duty is crazy. Let me tell you my story.
So I got summoned for jury duty. No biggie, it's my civil duty to show up. I was thinking that maybe it was for someone who didn't pay his parking tickets or some kid who flipped off a police officer. So I get to the court house and am huddled into a room where there are like 40 or so other people. I bust out my Nintendo DS and start kicking some ass at Zelda. People are looking at me funny cause everyone else in there is all serious looking. I was like, yea whatev. So the police officer comes out and tells us to go into the court room. I see this guy with slicked back hair and big side burns hella glaring at me. I was like, that's one jacked up looking lawyer. So I sit down and the judge walks in and explains to us that the guy in the chair is the defendant. I was like, wow! He's only 25 or so years old. I thought to myself he probably didn't pay a few tickets. So the judge starts talking than he says the words that will forever echo in my head, "the defendant is alleged to have commited a penal code 187." I was like, wtf NO WAI...murder?!?! I am way outta my league here. I started to sweat bullets adn the guy kept looking at me. It was seroiusly creeping me out, mainly cause I was the youngest potential juror in the room. So anyway, I didn't like how he was looking at me. So I got up and started walking towards him. He scared the shit out of me by jumping up (he was in plain cloths and not handcuffed). Anyway he charged at me and I got into one little fight and my mom got scared and said you're movin with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air.
LOL...ok the last part didn't happen. But i was a potential juror for a murder case. I told the judge I felt I wasn't capable of deciding a man's fate and the judge dismissed me.

So I was watching Oprah the other day and she was doing a show on people who attempted to become An Hero.
WTF?!?! She was saying that they are so brave and that they are role models for people. I think becoming An Hero is so freaking stupid and people who attempt that shouldn't be hailed by society as being 'brave'. Someone who runs into a burning building to save a person; now that's brave.
Come on Oprah, you should know better.
